Scope301 residences, three towers — residential lighting

Tona Life is a residential development of 301 flexible 220 m² homes in three towers in Beytepe, Çankaya — Ankara, built by Tona Yapı on a three-hectare landscaped site with the Lounge 301 social hub, indoor pool, tennis court and ponds. The lighting scope covers the residences, their shared areas and the sales office.

Flexible-plan apartments ask the lighting to stay neutral about where the walls will be: a regular grid of low-glare recessed downlights that reads calm whichever way a family furnishes the room, concealed cove light that lifts the ceiling plane in the living and sleeping areas, and a few decorative pendants where the dining table and kitchen island anchor the plan. Everything is warm white, so the sample apartment reads as one continuous home from the entrance hall to the terrace.

In the finished sample apartment the same quiet light does several jobs. Downlights and a soft cove wash the living room towards the full-height glazing; a cluster of woven pendants marks the dining corner; a track with small spots turns the dressing room into a well-lit wardrobe; linear light under the vanity and a mirror halo serve the bathroom; and in the sales office two wall lights frame the Tona wordmark on walnut.
