Tona Residence
Alacaatlı, Çankaya — Ankara
Tona Residence is a mixed-use development of 112 residences and 26 retail units in Alacaatlı, Çankaya — Ankara, built by Tona Yapı. The lighting scope spans both sides of the programme: residential interiors and the retail frontage.
Mixed-use lighting has to reconcile two briefs in one building: calm, warm, low-glare light in the homes above, and flexible, higher-output light for the retail units below — without the building reading as two unrelated projects. Working from one collection with a shared 3000K warm white across downlight, track, surface and outdoor families keeps the architecture coherent while each programme gets the light it needs.
In the shared lobbies and lift halls, recessed downlights and discreet black surface spots light walnut and book-matched stone, with concealed cove light lifting the ceiling plane away from the wall. The lift lobbies read calm and hotel-like; the circulation cores keep a quiet, even wash so wayfinding is effortless. Outside, tall slim bollard-poles line the retail forecourt and parking, carrying the same warm light down to the street — one material language from the residential entrance to the shopfront.
